With such an amazing appetizer, this place could easily have been five stars. Unfortunately, the entrees had a few missteps that affected the overall enjoyment of the meal. Let's start with the best, the 26 Thai Platter, which let's you choose 4 different small plates. I ordered the basil rolls, calamari, chicken satay, and the dumplings. Every single appetizer was well presented and tasted wonderfully. I particularly enjoyed the dumplings. They were so juicy and flavorful! I would have been happy ordering that as my appetizer and my entree! Definitely a must get. The chicken was cooked perfectly and the peanut sauce provided was finger licking good! I found the basil rolls to be flavorful and refreshing and you can't really go wrong with fried calamari. Unfortunately, I don't have much praise to give to the entrees other than that they looked nice. I was excited to try the banana boat and while it was pleasing to the eyes, the chicken was so salty, that you really couldn't taste anything else. Not even the small pieces of pineapple were enough to counter the saltiness. As for the Pad Thai, it felt and tasted heavy. It was so rich, that after a few bites I just didn't want to eat anymore because my palate was being overwhelmed. I do recommend this place solely on the appetizer, but be warned that the entrees might be a miss rather than a hit.
The food is really good, but extremely overpriced. It wasn’t “$20 more than normal per plate” good to me nor to the party I was with. We all agreed that it was tasty and fresh, but nothing special about it and not worth the price. The crab and cheese rolls are amazing! And the food, overall, was delicious with the right amount of spices. Our server was also very polite and attentive. We like won’t be back, but not because of the food quality, just because you’re paying so much more than other Thai places but not getting anything exceptional.
Had a date night here. Food was great; I had the drunken noodle which has a different name on the menu ( just ask the waiter and they will let you know how to order it). My husband had curry with shrimp. Food overall was really good and drinks were strong. Ambiance was nice. Our waiter was great. I was surprised they and 89 for a rating, but didn't see it until we left. I would still go back cause the food was really good
So lucky to find this gem on my travels tonight! Approaching from the outside, it really doesn't look like much yet walk in and the vibe is really fun. Low music is playing in the background. All the tables are full so I was offered a seat at the bar. Excellent service from Zach at the bar tonight, I'm really glad I got his station. I ordered the pick four appetizer plate, it's a great way to try a variety of foods. All of it was amazing! Of note, I ordered the Thai chicken wings. They don't mention that they're breaded, yet they are. Zach made it easy to send them back (wheat allergy) and he suggested another dish. Zach knows his products, and his menu. I appreciate his expertise! I'll be back next time I'm in Atlanta. Food, service and ambiance were all amazing! Excellent find on my travels ????????????????
Atmosphere: 1/1 - Large space, well decorated and with a subtle fancy vibe Service: 1/1 - welcoming and friendly staff Price: 0/1 - somewhat overpriced for a Thai restaurant. Entrees in the $18-$40 range Food: 2/2- Incredible fresh and tasty food! Curry balls were out of this world! The coconut soup was very savory. And the Rama chicken left us wanting more! Overall: 4/5. If you are looking for delicious Thai food, look no further. 26 Thai Kitchen & Bar is a great spot! Just be ready to pay a little more than usual. P.S. it’s a great date night spot!
