We used Wilson Bros. For a front and back landscaping project. The plants were of very poor quality and 1/3rd have died. They were leggy and sparse from the get go. In the back our creek bed was not trenched and the rocks simply laid flat on the ground. We've since had it redone to a much higher quality and aesthetic. The underground gutter was installed with corrugated pipe vs. Pvc, so after one year we had it replaced. Very shoddy work and quality. Do not recommend this company.
We are a local restaurant that was looking to expand our beer garden. Donnie and his team at Wilson Bros was very responsive, friendly, professional, timely, etc...you name it! They provided bamboo and weed removal, grading, leveling, mulch, and a fence. Even though it poured rain 3 times, they still completed the project in the 2 days as planned.
Wilson Bros. Landscapers A restorative experience. In December of 2022, a property developer destroyed some brick and granite features of my yard when working on an adjacent lot and not properly directing their subcontractors. My daughter and I had maintained that area together for years: it is the backdrop for a ton of pictures and memories as she learned to safely use tools as we raked and swept up oak tree debris that falls multiple times a year. She learned to play several sports right there, and has drawn tons of things in chalk in that area. Wilson Bros Landscaping determined a lot of specifics that would be required to replace this destroyed area to make it visually close to what it was before as a photo backdrop while still being a functional part of the yard. From the estimator to the masons, this job was handled with care, grace, and attention to craft. Wilson Bros Landscaping did this all while working with specific historic materials we obtained. They also delivered the ability to safely accept vehicle traffic across the work and pedestrian traffic in specific areas. Their masons worked hard to make my sometimes underspecified descriptions look highly similar to what was there before as well as function in a modern way with regards to runoff and drainage. They did work that fit the City of Atlanta standards as well, which are quite specific at times. They used precision cut brickwork and fit it in so well even without mortar (a drainage related thing) it won’t budge. A grown man (the same property developer who’d destroyed the original) tried to move a piece of the brickwork. Shortly after the masons finished, he bent over grabbed a piece and yanked. It just stayed in place, clearly surprising him as to the precision fit. We’ve driven cars over it, it just stays in place, beautifully. Walking over it, it just stays in place without any wobble or movement; It is sturdy for pedestrians. After almost a month it almost feels like it’s “been there forever”. It is a part of the place and it’s been super solid through lots of weather and traffic already. Watching the mason’s efforts from time to time: the crew clearly cared so much about how everything worked. I very much appreciate every little step they took to make it all work out. The drainage design work and expertise was very much appreciated as well. As a matter of trust, it also needs to be said: Wilson Landscaping pushed back when I asked for the wrong thing in a place or two. I applaud that so much. It’s very easy to just do the wrong thing when your less informed client asks for it (or silently deliver the right thing without telling them). Instead they talked with me with me when things came up, got across what the right thing was then got me to agree they should do the right thing. They worked through third parties exerting influence on the project with aplomb. True experts not only do the right thing, they get the client to understand it’s the right thing too. They are true experts. It’s unlikely your project (or my future projects) will have half of the complexities of this one. Hire them for your project today: they can handle it with care, they do great work and you’ll have great results.
