Sifu Khalil runs the best self defense gym I have ever attended. I’m thankful for his online videos. His ability to explain in person. He was even there for me when I had a death in the family. I have found not only a gym, but a family atmosphere
I have been going to Khalil for personal training for almost a year now. I started with him initially to get in shape for my wedding. While training with him I surpassed my goal weight. I decided to continue to train with him because I enjoyed how we did something different in every session and how I continued to see results. I have been training with Khalil at Black Phoenix Martial Arts and Fitness Academy for the past few months. He designed a meal and workout plan for my specific needs. His plan delivered results. This school has literally transformed my life. Sifu Shabazz is one of a kind- an incredibly talented instructor, mentor, and martial arts practitioner who genuinely cares about his students. He has created an environment at BPJKD that’s equal measures fun, challenging, and encouraging, with a community that wholesomely feels like a family. I can't say enough about how great Khalil is at what he does. I've been attending Black Phoenix on and off for several years now. I enjoy the small classes because Khalil is able to focus on each person there to make sure they are doing the exercises properly and that they are giving it their all. I like that he designs the meal plans specifically for each person. And he is excellent at keeping in touch with you. He has a sixth sense and knows when you're about to grab a piece of candy or eat a cookie because you'll get a facebook message asking if you're sticking to the meal plan. And most importantly, you will see results if you attend any of the classes at Black Phoenix!
